This comprehensive 360-degree view, from consultancy to strategic implementation and platform delivery, enables Ryan to offer a deep understanding of the current challenges and opportunities in workplace wellbeing.
It is Ryan’s life's work to provide practical, data-driven solutions that empower both individuals and organisations to flourish. He has collaborated with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the UN, The International Institute of Risk & Safety Management and The Health & Safety Executive.
But what does that look like in reality?
1. Wellbeing Assessments
Comprehensive and data-driven wellbeing assessments help organisations understand the current state of employee wellbeing and identify key areas for improvement.

This novel approach transcends traditional surveys by integrating a mix of objective, subjective and self-assessed data to provide a holistic and nuanced perspective. The methodology that his team developed at Deloitte is now being utilised in over 35 countries and has informed global best practices.
Case study
Ryan collaborated with an FMCG organisation to develop a bespoke global maturity assessment for an 80,000+ employees spanning 87 markets, utilising objective, subjective, and self-assessed data.

The insights derived from this assessment were used to leverage best practices from high-performing markets, elevate employee wellbeing in lower-scoring markets and to globalise the strategy and approach. This resulted in a 50%+ reduction in the number of offerings, increased utilisation of global offerings and improved objective and subjective employee wellbeing KPIs.
This methodology and approach were presented at The World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s forum for ‘pushing the boundary’ of workplace wellbeing assessments due to its innovative trifecta approach to data analysis.
2. Strategy Creation
Design and develop customised, cross-functional and data-led wellbeing strategies that align with their unique goals, culture and workforce needs. His focus is firmly on systemic change, moving beyond superficial initiatives like bikes, bananas and cake.

Ryan’s approach is experimental and collaborative, involving close work with leadership and stakeholders to create a vision and clear roadmap for fostering a thriving work environment.
Case studies
Ryan has spearheaded the development of wellbeing strategies for a diverse range of organisations, including (but not limited to):

Deloitte: Developed the initial internal wellbeing strategy and flexible working frameworks for 27,000 colleagues (500+ project teams).
TMT Organisation: Developed the global wellbeing strategy for 18,000 employees at a major UK broadcaster, following a global maturity assessments.
Finastra: Led the Future of Work function - working collaboratively across HR, Real Estate and IT in an Portfolio Manager Role to empower 10,000 people to work how, when and where they prefer; creating a happier, healthier and more productive workforce.
This was achieved through a data-driven approach to cultural improvement programmes, utilising data from Microsoft, Workday, sentiment analysis, and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement and assess the impact of experiments before scaling them.
Ryan and his team spearheaded the global return to the office and the transition to a tailored hybrid model post-COVID-19. This model defined physical proximity requirements based on role, location, and individual circumstances. This approach increased office utilisation across 28 locations by approximately 30% while enabling the rightsizing of the real estate portfolio, resulting in savings of around $50 million.
They implemented unlimited paid leave for all colleagues, making them the first large global company to do. Additionally, they enabled colleagues to work abroad for four weeks per year, improving EXM scores by 30%. They also piloted a 4.5-day working week in Dubai and rolled out a global right-to-disconnect policy, reducing the employee workweek span by approximately 4 hours per person per week, totalling 2.4 million hours saved over the year.
To embed geographic, temporal, and modal flexibility, they provided all 1,200 managers with access to Power BI dashboards highlighting employee experience metrics and coached them to create Team Charters. This empowered managers to make data-led decisions, which reduced digital meetings by approximately 2.5 hours per week and increased manager 1-on-1s by 21%.
Ultimately, this work led to a 3.2% reduction in voluntary attrition, saving over $15 million in replacement costs without negatively impacting productivity. They also enhanced the visibility of the employment value proposition internally and externally, increasing internal engagement by 110% and LinkedIn followers by 50% to 130,000.
3. Delivery
Translate wellbeing strategies into tangible results through engaging, effective and impactful delivery, whether through digital products, detailed impact assessments, or client workshops. His approach is always tailored to the specific needs of each audience, data-led and designed to drive lasting behaviour change and improvements in organisational metrics.

Ryan is proud to lead this initiative, working with Bupa's Corporate Clients to help them understand how to engage employees earlier in their mental health journeys, leveraging Bupa's deep insight, behaviour change expertise and industry best practice. This pioneering 12-week programme is redefining what 'good looks like' with regard to workplace mental health engagement in collaboration with brokers.
To date, they have worked with organisations employing a collective 100,000+ individuals. With one such organisation, they identified a £1.1 million opportunity to improve the digital mental health pathway, offsetting medical inflation, and they are currently working together to address this challenge.
JAAQ: As Chief Impact Officer, Ryan and his team have launched the JAAQ platform in over 10 organisations, engaging more than 150,000 individuals. They consistently achieve 25-50% engagement and more importantly, drive lasting change within these organisations; having answered 1.5 million questions across 100+ topics.
They have supported organisations in improving employee sentiment, increasing the utilisation of various benefits, reducing absenteeism, saving lives, and supporting customers. Furthermore, they will soon be launching JAAQ JR to 10,000 schools, free of charge. All their efforts are data-driven.
